Welcome to my corner of the Web.  I am currently in the middle of transferring web hosts, so please excuse the clutter and construction dust.  Also in the works is an overhaul of this site in general, so keep checking back to see what's new.

Artist Statement:
My passion, both in life and art, is exploring everything fantastic and other-worldly. Although I have been known to occasionally dabble in reality.  I was born and raised in Montana, and currently reside there.

As a child, I was fortunate enough to have attended a school that was focused on the arts and actively nurtured my creative tendencies. For higher education, I made a move to the East Coast to attend Smith College. In 2007, I graduated with a major in Studio Art with a concentration in Digital Media, and a minor in (ancient) Greek.

By and large, I am self-taught and I started my career as an artist at a young age. Growing up during the transition from an analog world to a digital one had a great effect on my interest in creating art with the help of a computer. Back in the day, when all the digital tools I had consisted of an old Mac running on MS-Dos and a 2-button mouse, I tangoed with computer-generated work in a primitive version of Paint. That early interest in digital art blossomed into a full blown relationship.

Over the years I have played Jack of All Trades and experimented with a wide range of art creation. My endeavors span both genres of traditional and digital work, from graphite drawings to photography, Photoshop to watercolour, Flash animation to sculpture.  And within the past few years, I have branched out into the field of 3D animation using the software program Maya.

Early influences of Pixar’s Luxo Jr. and the opening credits of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth planted the idea of interest of becoming involved in the industry of computer animation.  I would love to work for the amazing company Weta Digital (of Lord of the Rings fame), based in New Zealand, though I am also interested in the gaming industry and the wonderful folks at Blizzard Entertainment (World of WarCraft, Star Craft, and other MMORPGS).
